Moody Electrical
A trade brand built with the same care as the work behind it.
Richard Moody built his electrical business around careful work, honest advice and a builder’s understanding of how homes come together. We shaped the positioning, messaging and creative brief, then worked with Holiday Studio to create a visual identity that felt considered, grounded and built to last.

Brand launch for an independent electrical business
Building trust before Richard ever stepped onto the job.
Start with the work
Richard’s background spans both electrical work and building. That gives him a wider understanding of how a home is put together, particularly when working through the quirks of older homes and considered renovations.
Find the right position
We positioned Moody Electrical around thoughtful workmanship, attention to detail and the kind of reliability that earns recommendations. It needed to feel capable without slipping into the usual loud language of trade branding.
Brief the identity
We translated the positioning into a clear creative brief, giving Holiday Studio the strategic foundation to design a visual identity that felt distinctive, calm and quietly confident.
Make it useful
The identity was carried into practical pieces Richard could use from day one, including business cards and switchboard stickers. A small, focused system designed to work in the real world rather than sit untouched in a brand guide.
No overblown promises. No generic trade clichés. Just quiet confidence, built properly.
A visual identity that does not need to shout.
Holiday Studio translated the strategic brief into a distinctive logo and visual system. The result balances the practical nature of an electrical business with a more considered, crafted feel.
What the brand needed to communicate.
01
Considered
The identity needed to reflect someone who thinks beyond the immediate electrical job and understands how each decision fits into the wider home.
02
Grounded
Nothing too polished, corporate or showy. The business is built on practical knowledge, good communication and doing the work properly.
03
Memorable
The brand still needed enough personality to be recognised, remembered and recommended, without relying on the predictable lightning bolts and fluorescent colours of the category.
A small brand system, designed for the places it actually needs to work.
Moody Electrical did not need an enormous suite of brand assets. It needed the right foundations and a focused set of pieces that could build familiarity each time Richard completed a job or met a new customer.
- Primary logo and visual identity system
- Colour palette and typography
- Business card design
- Branded switchboard stickers
- Clear positioning and messaging foundations
